However, Nicosia shines not only as a tourist attraction, but also with its popular, highly recognised Medical University of Nicosia, which has led the development of life and health science programmes in Cyprus over the past two decades. More than 850 international students from 100 countries around the world are enrolled in this medical school. The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is the largest university in Southern Europe, teaching mainly in English and coming together in an innovative and transformative teaching space.
In order to best prepare prospective graduates to work with patients, the university offers an exceptional programme. This not only includes technical content, but also helps them to increase skills and confidence by instilling in their students the confidence to make a difference in the world. There is also the opportunity to have an open discussion about the case of the week in a problem-based learning environment. In the fourth year, in preparation for clinical placements in hospitals, a formal White Coat Ceremony is held at the University of Nicosia's Open Amphitheatre. Worldwide, the university is present in 18 cities. Their goal? To strive for excellence and to continuously develop and prepare students for their international careers.
When applying to Nicosia, it is very important to submit the necessary personal documents and proof of English online. Certificates such as IELTs, TOEFL or the Cambridge exam are crucial for this. If you have not taken a corresponding exam, we can help you to take the English test at the university. During the course of your studies, we have also prepared the required learning content for the subjects of biology and chemistry in a didactic and easy-to-understand manner for you and provide you with a personal tutor.
