Duration of study, Bachelor-Master system & degree

The medical degree programme at LSMU is divided into the Bachelor's and Master's system. The Master's degree in human medicine or dentistry is usually obtained after six years of study (12 semesters). The programme has a modular structure, is practice-oriented and follows the latest didactic standards. Examinations are both written and practical - in the form of clinical case analyses, oral presentations and multiple-choice knowledge tests.

At the end of the programme, graduates are awarded academic degrees:

• M.D. (Medical Doctor) - Human Medicine

• D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) - Dentistry

• D.V.M. (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) - Veterinary Medicine

Recognition in the EU in accordance with Directive 2005/36/EC
