At the Medical University of Pécs you can choose between two medical degree programmes - both are internationally recognised and can be studied in German or English:

  • Human medicine

    • Duration of study: 6 years (360 ECTS)

    • Degree: MUDr. (Medicinae Universae Doctor)

    • Languages of instruction: German or English

  • Dentistry

    • Duration of study: 5 years

    • Degree: MDDr. (Medicinae Dentium Doctor)

    • Languages of instruction: German or English

Both degree programmes are based on the curriculum of German universities and offer direct access to specialist training in Germany, Austria and all EU countries.

Study structure

  • The content is closely based on the German medical degree programme (especially in biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology).

  • German students also complete subjects in Hungarian in order to integrate into everyday clinical practice.

  • The degree programme has a clear modular structure and prepares you specifically for the Physikum and state examination.

Thanks to the EU-compliant curriculum, you can easily transfer to Germany if necessary - if a study place is available there.

Admission requirements & admission procedure

The medical degree programme in human medicine lasts six years, while the degree programme in dentistry lasts five years.
